More than 1200 MW in Wind, Solar and BESS Projects developed to RtB

Technical consultancy contract  for development up to RtB status 

• Several projects under development 
• Total installed capacity 100 MW 

• Romanian Government is determined to  undertake the target of 34% weight of  renewable sources in the total energy  consumption for 2030 (compared to 24%  in 2020), which will translate in the need  to install by 2030 new RES capacities and  BESS project to ensure grid stability.  

• BESS storage system can qualify as  service provider for ancillary service  market – TSO has recently adopted  specific procedure. 

•  The decarbonization is the strategic  direction to which Romania and the  whole EU is heading under the recent  European Green Deal. Renewables are  instrumental to achieving the very  ambitious decarbonization targets set by  EU, making BESS preferred solution for  grid stability and ancillary services. 

•  Progressive decrease of investment  costs of BESS system. 

• Balancing costs and ancillary services  increased prices, ensuring certain  project incomes.
